Members of the Walton family have long envisioned, and have been actively working towards, a dynamic future for Bentonville, Arkansas. Their vision is based upon developing strong community values, elevating the area’s natural scenic beauty, and encouraging an outdoor-oriented lifestyle with the intention of drawing creative and entrepreneurial talent to the region. Targeted investments in new food and beverage concepts, music and art venues, startup incubators, and a network of mountain biking trails and support facilities are proving to be both successful and profitable.
Building upon an already strong relationship with the Walton family, The Working Group is developing Tucker’s Corner, an investment-grade, institutional quality asset. This premier site is located directly on the town square, in the heart Bentonville’s culinary and hospitality center, and closely neighboring the region’s exceptional bike trails. The Compton, a 140-key independently operated lifestyle-oriented boutique hotel, comprises a key component of the project. Designed to serve as the living room for the community, as well as a home base for residents, visitors, and tenets of the office space, the Compton has the potential to further characterize and enhance the future of Bentonville. Currently in design, with construction scheduled to commence in early 2021, the project will be completed in 2022.
