Chuck Wood
Chief Operating Officer
With over thirty years of diverse experience managing architecture, design, construction, and technology companies, Chuck Woods is an instrumental member of The Working Group (TWG) team. Chuck brings extensive knowledge of, and expertise in, the hospitality industry, with a particular focus on luxury hospitality and international operations. He has worked in close collaboration and formed meaningful relationships with hotel owners, operators, architects, and design consultants. Moreover, he has overseen and delivered renowned national and international projects in the US, Asian, European, Indian, and Middle Eastern markets. Chuck is currently the Commercial Director of Champalimaud Design and TWG’s Chief Operating Officer.
Prior to becoming the Commercial Director of Champalimaud Design, Chuck was the Managing Director, EMEA + Asia, for the Rockwell Group. At Rockwell, Chuck was responsible for project delivery, business operations, mentoring creative leadership, key client management, and developing new international business opportunities. He was also crucial in developing the firm’s global strategy, successfully establishing offices in Madrid, Shanghai, and Dubai. In addition, Chuck acted as a branding and strategy consultant to the firm’s hospitality clients. Before joining Rockwell, Chuck was the Senior Manager of the extensive off-campus expansion of the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation in New York. Chuck has also served both as the Chief Technology Officer and Senior Vice President of Global Production for KPE, a premier provider of digital interactive solutions for luxury, media, and entertainment clients, as well as a Partner and Executive Vice President for Meader Associates, Inc., a general contractor specializing in luxury retail and private residential construction in the New York metropolitan area.
Chuck is a graduate of Oberlin College with degrees in Mathematics and Music.
